Booking Direct Costs You More Than You Think

Most travelers assume that booking directly with a cruise line gets them the best deal. It does not. Cruise lines offer the exact same pricing to travel advisors, and when you book through Adventures By K and M, you get expert guidance, personal advocacy, and someone who has actually sailed the ships you are considering. At zero extra cost to you.

We know what to look for because we have been there. We know which cabin categories are worth the upgrade and which ones you can skip. We know which cruise lines suit families versus couples versus first-timers. When you have a question or a problem, you have a real person in your corner, not a call center.

Cruise Lines We Book

Royal Caribbean — The world's largest cruise line, with ships built for every type of traveler from adventure-seekers to luxury lovers.

MSC Cruises — Including the exclusive MSC Yacht Club, an all-inclusive ship-within-a-ship experience we've sailed firsthand on the MSC Seashore.

Norwegian — Freestyle cruising with flexible dining and entertainment options for families and independent travelers.

Carnival — Fun, affordable, and family-friendly sailings that deliver great value without sacrificing the cruise experience.

Celebrity — Premium modern luxury; we sailed the Celebrity Edge in an Aqua Suite for our anniversary and it exceeded every expectation.

Disney Cruise Line — The gold standard for family cruising, with storytelling and service that make every guest feel like the star of the voyage.

Common Cruise Questions

How much does it cost to use Adventures By K and M to book my cruise?

Nothing. Our service is completely free. Cruise lines compensate travel advisors directly — that’s built into their pricing structure. You pay the same cabin rate whether you book through us or directly through the cruise line. The only difference is that booking through us means you have an advocate handling the details, answering your questions, and staying in your corner before and after you board.

What cruise line is best for a family with kids ages 8–14?

Royal Caribbean is where we’d start — specifically their Oasis class ships. These ships are built for this exact demographic: multiple pools, waterslides, zip lines, surf simulators, rock climbing, and enough entertainment variety to fill every day without repeating. The FlowRider and escape rooms tend to be hits with the 8–14 group specifically.

What is the difference between a balcony cabin and a suite — is the upgrade worth it?

A balcony gives you private outdoor space and sea views, which is meaningful for a longer sailing or a first-timer who wants to feel connected to the ocean. A suite is a fundamentally different cruise experience — more space, priority boarding, exclusive lounges, and in some cases, private dining. We sailed the Aqua Suite on Celebrity Edge for our anniversary, which included access to a private specialty restaurant every night. Whether the upgrade is worth it depends entirely on what you want from the trip — and that’s exactly the conversation we help you have.

When should I book my cruise to get the best price?

6–12 months in advance for the best cabin selection and pricing. For popular sailings — holiday weeks, spring break, summer departures — early booking matters even more. That said, last-minute deals do exist, but they come with limited cabin categories and less flexibility. If you have specific cabin preferences or travel dates, earlier is almost always better.

What is the MSC Yacht Club and who is it actually for?

The MSC Yacht Club is a ship-within-a-ship experience on select MSC vessels — a private section with its own restaurant, pool deck, lounge, and concierge team. We sailed the Yacht Club on the MSC Seashore on a Bahamas itinerary, and the level of service was outstanding. It’s ideal for travelers who want the energy and entertainment of a large ship but don’t want to feel like they’re in a crowd. If you’ve ever looked at a mega-ship and worried it would feel overwhelming, Yacht Club fixes that.
